Truckee sits at elevation in the Sierra Nevada, where long, snowy winters and cool summer nights place heavy demands on heating and cooling equipment. Homeowners and property managers here need systems that start reliably on the coldest mornings and keep pace when the temperature swings. Southwest Heating works in this environment, serving households and buildings across the Truckee area with HVAC service built around those seasonal realities.

Southwest Heating is a licensed contractor under California state registry number 734716, and it has been licensed since 1997, giving it more than 29 years in the trade. The company handles AC Services, Heating Services, Ductwork Services, Heat Pumps, Furnace Services, Thermostat Services, Emergency HVAC calls, and Maintenance and Tune-up visits. Work typically begins with a inspection of the existing system, followed by repairs, component replacement, or new installation, with ductwork checked for leaks and airflow problems that quietly reduce comfort and efficiency.
Because Truckee's weather can turn quickly, Southwest Heating's scheduled maintenance is designed to catch wear before it becomes a no-heat emergency in January. Tune-ups cover cleaning, safety checks, and calibration, while thermostat upgrades help households set heating and cooling schedules that match how they actually live. Emergency service addresses sudden failures when a furnace or heat pump stops working during a cold snap.
For anyone comparing local HVAC pros in Truckee, the most useful starting point is a clear view of licensing, service scope, and how a company handles both routine care and urgent calls. Southwest Heating welcomes questions about any of these points before work begins.
